Earlier tonight, I was at Starbucks -- like I have always been.
It felt like the usual coffee night. But, one thing hit me.
I suddenly realized why I keep coming back to this fancy coffee shop.
It's not even about the red eye drink which is my favorite.
It's not even about the free grande drink every after 12 stars.
It's about the experience.
I've been a regular customer ever since Starbucks came to our city. I'm a coffee addict by the way so no surprise there.
When I arrive at Starbucks, the baristas greet me.
They are my friends now. They treat me really well. It has come to a point where I don't even mention my drink. They just craft it the moment they see me.
I don't even have to claim my drink at the counter. They serve it to me at my table -- sometimes.
This may be weird. But, I feel like they're my family (or at least just my close friends). These baristas call me by my first name and ask me how I'm doing and at the same time chat about personal stuff.
On top of all these, I love the coffee shop ambience as well as the free wi-fi. It's such a convenient place to work away from home.
This may be just a Starbucks protocol for regular customers. But, it certainly works well. And, it keeps me coming back for more.
